East Windsor Township officials have canceled all non-essential township advisory board and committee meetings through March 31 in an effort to stem the spread of COVID-19.
There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 in East Windsor Township as of March 18, according to township officials.
The decision to cancel the meetings, announced March 18, follows on the heels of township officials’ earlier decision to suspend some activities and reduce the hours for others.
In addition to announcing the cancellation of the advisory boards and committees, township officials said the East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority’s administrative building at 7 Wiltshire Drive has been closed to the public.
Residents can conduct business with the East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority by telephone, email or regular mail. A drop box is located to the left of the front door for general mail and water/sewer payments.
Residents may pay their water/sewer bills online at www.eastwindsormua.com. They may also call the East Windsor Municipal Utilities Authority at 609-443-6000, ext. 7603 for more information.
The East Windsor Township Municipal Building at 16 Lanning Boulevard remains open, but residents are encouraged to conduct business with the township by telephone at 609-443-4000; by email at www.east-windsor.nj.us; or by regular mail.
Visitors to the municipal building must stop at the front desk to explain the purpose of their visit, and they will be assisted at that point.
East Windsor Township officials earlier had suspended all activities, trips and programs at the East Windsor Senior Center, effective March 13. The senior center is open and staffed weekdays, but it has shorter hours. It is open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Mercer County Nutrition Program, which also operated at the East Windsor Senior Center, was suspended March 13, as well.
The East Windsor Township Municipal Court at 80 One Mile Road has canceled the March 23 court session. Municipal Court operations in New Jersey have been suspended for two weeks under the March 14 order issued by New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Stuart Rabner.
The East Windsor Regional School District implemented remote learning for students March 17 for a two-week period that ends March 29.
