EAST BRUNSWICK–East Brunswick Township, as well as all of America, has had to alter daily life due to COVID-19.
“I’m sure there is going to be a general work slowdown for everybody across the state.” Mayor Brad Cohen said.
East Brunswick had many projects already in motion, such as the 110 Tices Lane Project.
“We have no intention of having the business of the township stop because of the virus.” Cohen said. “So to the extent that people can do their job safely it shouldn’t slow anything down at all.”
East Brunswick is taking additional precautions along with Gov. Phil Murphy’s Executive Order 104. East Brunswick’s proclamation prohibits the use of banquet halls, child and adult daycare centers, nail salons, hair salons, barbershops, cosmetology and massage establishments according to Cohen.
Town meetings will be held as usual, but for those who don’t feel comfortable with being there in person, they can call in and still participate, and the meetings will continue to be televised, according to Cohen.
Cohen and his team will continue to inform residents as best as they can through many ways, he said. News will be posted on the East Brunswick website and on the EBTV channel either found on Youtube or on TV.
