South River reports second coronavirus case

SOUTH RIVER – The Borough of South River has been notified by the Middlesex County Department of Health that a second resident has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The patient is currently under home quarantine, according to information released by the borough on March 19. The patient has had no contact with any schools, officials said.

At this time, the Middlesex County Health Department is the lead in the investigation of the case and is responsible for all notifications.

Updates will be provided as they are available and allowed under federal and state privacy laws. Names, addresses and personal identifying information of patients cannot be released or shared with the community.
