South River Food Bank seeks donations of non-perishables

SOUTH RIVER – The South River Food Bank is seeking donations of non-perishable food items to help meet the increased need for assistance.

The items most needed at this time include: canned fruit, canned meat (stew, chili, SPAM), canned soups, canned pasta, canned vegetables, boxed pasta, pasta side mixes, rice side mixes, skillet dinner mixes, peanut butter, cereal, canned milk, and shelf-stable milk.

Donations may be dropped off in the buckets outside the main doors at the following locations:

South River Municipal Offices, 48 Washington St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays

Human Services Building, 55 Reid St., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays

South River Food Bank Location, 98 Jackson St., 1-3 p.m Saturday; 9:30-11 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday

South River Recycling Center, 435 Whitehead Ave., 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
