Four members of family succumb to coronavirus

Four members of the same family with ties to Freehold have died of the coronavirus.

As of March 23, the individuals who have died are Grace Fusco, 73, and her children Rita Fusco-Jackson, 56, Carmine Fusco, 55, and Vincent Fusco, 53.

Rita Fusco-Jackson died during the week of March 8. Her death was confirmed by the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township.

According to St. Robert Bellarmine, Fusco-Jackson was involved in the parish choir and the religious education program. She was a teacher in the confirmation program.

Grace Fusco and Carmine Fusco both died on March 18. Vincent Fusco died on March 19. Their deaths were confirmed in published reports by Roseann Paradiso Fodera, a cousin and the lawyer representing the family.

“The Fuscos were dedicated to the faith and very involved in the parish,” said Monsignor Sam Sirianni, of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold Township. “We join with them in grief and sorrow in this time and they are in our prayers.”
