PRINCETON – The Princeton Health Department has been notified of a sixth and seventh positive test result for novel coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19.

The first individual had recently returned from a trip to Spain. This individual was isolated upon returning to the United States, and during isolation developed symptoms and was subsequently tested, according to information provided on March 22.

There are no known exposures to this individual except household contacts who have been using appropriate personal protective equipment and procedures. Those household contacts will now be isolated for 14 days, according to the statement.

The second individual is a close contact of an attendee of the Feb. 29 house party. The infected individual had been advised of the exposure and was self-isolating in advance of developing symptoms, according to the statement.

The infected individuals will be released from isolation, as appropriate, following New Jersey Department of Health Guidelines, according to the statement.
