Donations of PPE, disinfectant being accepted at Middlesex County Fire Academy

Middlesex County will be accepting donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant supplies to the Middlesex County Fire Academy.

Donations will be accepted from residents, businesses and social organizations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through April 3 at the Middlesex County Fire Academy, 1001 Fire Academy Dr., Sayreville.

Items in need of donation include nitrile examination gloves, surgical or N95 masks, protective gowns, protective face shields, multi-function no-contact infrared thermometers, disinfectant supplies, hand sanitizer and Clorox-type wipes.

The Fire Academy does not have the capacity to collect food donations or supplies other than those listed.

Food donations for MCFOODS (Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distributions Services) can be brought to 28 Kennedy Blvd., East Brunswick, from 6 a.m. to noon. Monetary donations are welcome at www.feedingmiddlesexcounty.org/.
