Number of positive COVID-19 cases rises to 40 in Edison after report of 19 new cases on March 26

EDISON – The number of Edison Township positive COVID-19 cases rose to 40 after a report of 19 new cases on March 26, according to information provided by the Edison Office of Emergency Management.

Seventeen residents are on home isolation and two residents are hospitalized, officials said in a report.

The cases include a 52-year-old male; a 59-year-old female, a 53-year-old male; a 42-year-old male; a 54-year-old female; a 55-year-old year female; a 47-year-old female; a 30-year-old female; a 45-year-old female; a 22-year-old female; a 30-year-old female; a 36-year-old female; a 34-year-old, unknown gender; a 31-year-old, unknown gender; a 48-year-old, unknown gender; a 31-year-old, unknown gender; and a 21-year-old, unknown gender.

Two 59-year-old males are hospitalized, officials said.
