Hillsborough reports five new COVID-19 cases

HILLSBOROUGH – The Hillsborough Township Health Department released a report on April 2 stating there are five new cases of the novel coronavirus in the community, bringing the total amount of residents in the township who have tested positive for COVID-19 to 45.

All five residents were over age 50, according to the report. There have been 28 reported cases of people over 50 years old in the township who have had coronavirus, officials said.

It was also announced that 13 Hillsborough residents who tested positive have since recovered from the virus.
