Monroe positive COVID-19 total cases reach 115

MONROE – Monroe officials reported 10 new positive COVID-19 cases on April 2, bringing the total number of cases to 115, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management.

The new cases include a 26-year-old male and nine females – a 28-year-old, a 49-year-old, a 57-year-old, a 62-year-old, 64-year-old, and a 75-year-old female, 86-year-old and a 92-year-old and a 96-year-old.

The township data received from Middlesex County since March 14 states there were 49, 43%, men who tested positive for COVID-19 cases. The average age is 63. There were 66, 57%, females who tested positive. The average age is 51.

The recovery data is not available at this time, officials said.

The drive-thru testing site at MyInstaDoc, 298 Applegarth Road, reports testing more than 813 patients in Monroe since testing began on March 20. As of April 2, they have received 693 results and 24% have come back with a positive test. The results reflect patients from Monroe and neighboring municipalities.

The testing site serves pre-registered patients from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and drive-up patients from 1-3:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Pre-register at www.myinstadocmonroe.com or call 609-207-3220 to speak with a medical professional.
