MONOC transfers operations to RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health, CentraState Healthcare System

MONOC, which has operated mobile intensive care paramedic services and mobile critical care services in the area, ceased operations and transferred ongoing operations to RWJBarnabas Health, Hackensack Meridian Health and CentraState Healthcare System. The New Jersey Department of Health approved the transfer as of April 1.

RWJBarnabas Health and Hackensack Meridian Health will become the providers for advanced life support and paramedic services previously provided by MONOC throughout its service area, which covers much of Monmouth and Ocean counties as well as portions of northern New Jersey, according to the statement. RWJBarnabas Health will operate advanced life support services in partnership with Hatzolah of Central Jersey Paramedics based in Lakewood.

 

RWJBarnabas Health surrounds the area of Monmouth Medical Center North and includes Allenhurst, Deal, Eatontown, Interlaken, Loch Arbor Village, Long Branch, Monmouth Beach, Ocean (north of Deal Rd and east of Wickapecko Drive and Roseld Avenue), Oceanport, Sea Bright, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch;

Surrounds the area of Monmouth Medical Center South and includes Howell (south of I-195), Jackson (south of West Veterans Highway to Bennett Mills Road to Aldrich Road) and Lakewood;

Surrounds the area of Community Medical Center and includes Beachwood, Berkeley, Island Heights, Lacey, Lakehurst, Lavallette, Manchester, Ocean Gate, Pine Beach, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, South Toms River and Toms River;

Surrounds the area of Saint Barnabas Medical Center includes the towns of Livingston, Maplewood, Millburn, Roseland, South Orange and West Orange;

Surrounds the area southwest of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and includes Cranford, Irvington, Hillside, Kenilworth (east of South Michigan Avenue), Roselle Park, Union and Winfield;

Surrounds the area north and east of Clara Maass Medical Center, including Lyndhurst, North Arlington, Belleville, Nutley, East Newark, Harrison and Kearny.

 

Hackensack Meridian Health surrounds the areas of Bayshore Medical Center and Riverview Medical Center, including Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Colts Neck (east of Route 34), Fair Haven, Hazlet, Highlands, Holmdel, Keansburg, Keyport, Little Silver, Marlboro (north of Gordons Corner Road and Newman Springs Road), Matawan, Middletown, Red Bank, Rumson, Shrewsbury and Union Beach

Surrounds the areas of Jersey Shore Medical Center and Ocean Medical Center including Asbury Park, Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Lake Como, Manasquan, Neptune City, Neptune, Ocean (south of Deal Road except east of Wickapecko Drive and Roseld Avenue), Sea Girt, Spring Lake Borough, Spring Lake Heights, Wall, Bay Head, Brick, Mantoloking, Point Pleasant and Point Pleasant Beach;

Surrounds the area of Southern Ocean Medical Center including Barnegat Light, Barnegat, Beach Have, Eagleswood, Harvey Cedars, Little Egg Harbor, Long Beach, Ocean Township, Ship Bottom, Manahawkin, Surf City and Tuckerton;

Adjacent to the existing Hackensack University Medical Center includes Passaic and Clifton.

 

CentraState Healthcare System (provided by RWJBarnabas Health) surrounds the areas of Centrastate Medical Center and includes Colts Neck (west of Route 34), Englishtown, Farmingdale, Freehold Township, Freehold Borough, Howell (north of I-195), Manalapan, Marlboro (south of Gordons Corner Road and Newman Springs Road), Millstone, Upper Freehold, Jackson (north of West Veterans Highway to Bennett Mills Road to Aldrich Road), Plumstead and Roosevelt Borough.
