MANALAPAN – During the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the Manalapan Police Department is asking residents to report certain incidents online.
In a press release issued on April 3, police said that “in the event of an emergency, as always, dial 911. We will continue to respond to emergencies – serious and crime-in-progress calls.
“In a continued effort to keep the public and our first responders safe during the
pandemic, we are asking our citizens and the public to use discretion when seeking police response services.
“If you have a situation that can be resolved over the phone by speaking with an officer, please call 732-446-4300. You can also now use the new Online Reporting link on our
website at manalapanpolice.org to report non-violent crimes or incidents,” police said.
Police said non-violent crimes and incidents include theft reports under $200; report vandalism, litter and graffiti; noise complaints; lost property reports; property damage; and harassing phone calls, emails or text messages.
