South River confirms 12 additional residents test positive for COVID-19; total up to 48

SOUTH RIVER–The South River Police Department has been notified by the Middlesex County Health Department that 12 additional residents have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

This brings the total number of cases in South River to 48, according to the South River Police Department.

It is unknown if the new cases are isolating at home or hospitalized, according to the statement.

To date, borough officials have not been notified of any patients having fully recovered, according to the statement.
