JACKSON – Sgt. Trevor Crowley, who served as a member of the Jackson Police Department for almost 28 years, has retired.
Crowley’s fellow officers wished him good luck as he spent his final days with the police department in late March.
According to the police department, Crowley began his law enforcement career in July 1989 as a police officer with the Lambertville Police Department in Hunterdon County.
Crowley was hired in Jackson in August 1992 and served as a patrol officer until May 1999, when he was transferred to the Traffic Safety Unit.
Crowley was promoted to sergeant in May 2018 and assigned as a supervisor of a patrol squad in the Uniformed Services Division.
During his tenure with the Jackson Police Department, Crowley was also a member of the Special Response Team, he conducted in-service training for the department’s members and he taught the Emergency Vehicle Operator Course to new recruits at the Ocean County Police Academy.
Police administrators said that during his career, Crowley received letters of commendation and department awards that included good conduct ribbons, a unit citation, an achievement ribbon and an excellent police duty ribbon.
