Woodbridge total positive COVID-19 cases rise to 659

WOODBRIDGE – Woodbridge officials reported 36 new positive COVID-19 cases, which brings total number of cases to 659, Mayor John McCormac said in his daily report on April 11.

“This is among our lowest daily totals of the last 10 days which is good news, although there are several cases of children under 18 being stricken with the disease which is not,” he said. “Please keep all victims in your thoughts and prayers.”

McCormac added calls to victims from the first two weeks continue to provide positive feedback with the vast majority of people reporting that they are over the symptoms.

The Easter Bunny was in Iselin and Menlo Park Terrace on April 10, making its rounds in Colonia, Woodbridge proper, Keasbey and Avenel on April 11 and in Fords and Port Reading on Easter Sunday.

“Step outside if you are able and give a wave or just smile from your window,” McCormac said. “I am sure the Easter Bunny will be smiling back at you.”
