Monroe woman found asleep in South Brunswick school lot with kids in car charged with DWI, child endangerment, violation of stay-at-home order

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A Monroe woman was charged with DWI and violating the Governor’s  Executive Order.

At 12:15 a.m. on April 17, Officer Jamal Benbow reportedly found a vehicle operated by a 28-year-old stopped in a lane of travel on Georges Road in front of Crossroad North Middle School. She was found intoxicated and sleeping in the vehicle with two young children inside, according to information provided by Police Chief Raymond Hayducka.

She was charged with two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, numerous motor vehicle violations, and violating the emergency orders, according to the statement.
