Borough Administrator Art Londensky said the borough’s sewer system is almost 100 years old and has collapsed and failed. He said improvements will include replacing the existing sewer main and reconnecting laterals to all affected properties.

The borough will make a $25,000 down payment to cover the remaining cost for the improvements, according to the council.
