Woodbridge officials report 21 new positive COVID-19 cases

WOODBRIDGE – Woodbridge officials reported 21 new positive COVID-19 cases, which brings the total number of cases to 995, said Mayor John McCormac in his daily report on April 22.

“That is one of our best days in the last three weeks when we got as low as 17 and 19, but as high as 80 and 87,” he said, adding there are still no trends to report.

Township parks remain open, but playground equipment is off limits and group games or sports are prohibited. County parks remain closed.

McCormac, in his report, said the response to the township’s plea for donations of food and funds for the 11 township food pantries has been “absolutely terrific.” Residents can continue to send checks payable to We Feed Woodbridge to the township Health Center at 2 George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 or Town Hall at 1 Main Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

The mayor continues to urge neighbors to check on people who live alone and cannot leave their homes.
