Monroe officials report 46 new positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend

MONROE – Monroe officials reported 46 new positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend, bringing the total number of cases to 459, according to the Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management on April 27.

Nineteen new positive cases were reported on April 25. The cases ranged in age from 17 to 97. The cases included 13 females – 17 year old, 77 year old, two 79 year olds, an 80 year old, an 81 year old, an 82 year old, an 84 year old, a 90 year old, a 92 year old, a 93 year old, a 96 year old, and a 97 year old. And six males – an 18 year old, a 19 year old, a 36 year old, a 63 year old, a 64 year old, and a 73 year old.

Twenty-seven new positive cases were reported on April 26. The cases ranged in age from 16 to 94. The cases included 15 males – a 16 year old, a 17 year old, two 18 year olds, a 19 year old, a 21 year old, a 26 year old, a 35 year old, a 50 year old, a 56 year old, a 64 year old, a 66 year old, a 72 year old, a 74 year old, and an 81 year old. And 12 females – a 31 year old, a 32 year old, a 38 year old, two 52 year olds, a 56 year old, a 59 year old, a 61 year old, a 68-year-old, a 70 year old, an 80 year old, and a 94 year old.

The total COVID-19 deaths is 50, 38 from long-term care facilities, officials said.
