SOUTH BRUNSWICK – As part of his plan to sustain South Brunswick Township through the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Charles Carley has announced his latest initiative in an attempt to encourage our residents to support local businesses: South Brunswick Restaurant Week will run May 7-9.

“I strongly encourage our community members to support our local restaurants this Thursday through Saturday during South Brunswick Restaurant Week. We all love our local restaurants, but they have taken a hit due to the pandemic. This is our community’s time to help keep them up and running by ordering take-out food or gift certificates, which make a great Mother’s Day gift. In addition, many of our restaurants are offering great specials,” Carley said in a prepared statement.

Carley said that 37 restaurants are currently open. A list of restaurants still operating, along with their locations and contact information, can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/southbrunswicknjgov.

“As part of the effort to advance out of the pandemic I directed that we establish one location where residents can find information on restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and convenience stores. This one location on the internet will have information on what is open, when they are open, and links to their websites. As more businesses return, we will update the website to keep our community informed and prepared. I hope this outreach effort helps our residents with accurate, timely information, and helps our business community rebound,” Carley said in the statement.

Any businesses that would like their information displayed on South Brunswick TV-3 should email rschmalz@sbtnj.net or call 732-329-4000, ext. 7275.
