Fire, which damaged all 12 apartments at Parsonage Hills apartment complex, is under investigation

EDISON – A fire at the Parsonage Hills apartment complex is under investigation, according to Edison Fire Chief Brian Latham.

The fire was reported at 4:16 p.m. on May 4 and was showing through the roof as firefighters arrived. Firefighters made a search of the 12-unit apartment complex and all occupants were safely evacuated, Latham said.

The fire caused significant damage to six apartments and light smoke and water damage to the other six apartments, Latham said.

One firefighter broke a finger and was treated for the injury, Latham said.

The Edison Fire Department received assistance from New Brunswick, Piscataway, Metuchen, Avenel and Colonia fire departments along with assistance from the Middlesex County Fire Marshal’s Office and Hackensack Meridian Emergency Medical Services.

Parsonage Road was closed in all directions for about four hours during the fire incident.
