EDISON – Hackensack Meridian Health has discharged 5,000 COVID-19 patients.

The 5,000th patient spent 26 days at JFK Medical Center in Edison where he was on a ventilator and extubated. He has now made a full recovery.

The man in a wheelchair held an “I survived COVD-19” sign and pumped his fist in the air as the staff at JFK Medical Center cheered his release.
