A Trenton man has been charged with weapons offenses in connection with an attempted robbery on Nassau Street on May 21.
Police received a report at 10:29 p.m. on May 21 about an attempted robbery in progress in the 100 block of Nassau Street, according to information provided by the Princeton Police Department.
Police officers who responded to the call located a man who matched the description of the would-be robber. He was found to be in possession of a knife, and was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, police said.
Police are asking for victims or witnesses to step forward who can provide more information about the attempted robbery. They also are seeking surveillance video of the incident.
