Eesha, left to right, Daka, Shiv, Krish and Mitesh Patel participated as one of the North Brunswick Flashlight Lighters families by making a donation to the North Brunswick Food Bank on April 25. They also baked cupcakes for the CERT Team and other volunteers who are assisting the drive-thru Food Bank. In addition, the family provided goodie bags for children to lift their spirits.

The neighbors of Patton, Newton, Douglas, Davis, Bradley and Bell streets in North Brunswick will hold another neighborhood shout out at 8 p.m. on May 30.

The Flashlight Brigade will collect pasta and cereal for the North Brunswick Food Bank.

Any residents who do not live in the neighborhood but who would like to donate can call Pete Clark at 908-307-3260 for pickup on Sunday, May 31.

The Neighborhood Shout Out has received recognition nationally from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and locally with a special Facebook thank you from the North Brunswick Police Department, as well as recognition by Mayor Francis “Mac” Womack and the Township Council.

For more information, watch North Brunswick Channel 15 or call the township’s coronavirus hotline at 732-735-9232.
