During the week of Oct. 21, students at Parsons Elementary School in North Brunswick celebrated Peace Week. As part of this celebration, students and staff members each dressed up in a particular color. This demonstrated that while individually we can do so little, together we can make a beautiful rainbow of diversity: a rainbow that demonstrates that though we are all different, we can come together peacefully for a cause, according to information provided on Nov. 14.

The North Brunswick Public Library and the North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services will celebrate unity, diversity, acceptance and pride during June through its Unite initiative.

Display a rainbow on your house window or door to show we are all in this together. Then, take a nice walk and see how many rainbows you can spot in the neighborhood.

Facebook and Instagram will offer weekly postings. Tag #unitenorthbrunswick
