Amboy Bank celebrates Peggy Ann Dembowski’s 60th anniversary with the bank

Peggy Ann Dembowski, senior vice president, cashier and trust officer for Amboy Bank, has celebrated her 60th anniversary with the company.

Dembowski, a resident of Sayreville, joined the bank in June 1960 in the accounting department and has continued to assume increased responsibilities over the years, culminating in being approved as a senior vice president by the Board of Directors, according to information provided by Amboy Bank.

“Peggy Dembowski has been invaluable to Amboy Bank during her remarkable career. She has always been willing to fill a need, lead by example, and represent what Amboy is for generations of clients and associates,” said Greg Scharpf, Amboy Bank president and CEO, in the statement. “Peggy has been, and continues to be, a dedicated employee and a friend and mentor to so many at Amboy.”

A graduate of St. Mary’s High School in South Amboy, she holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Marywood College and holds certifications in many banking areas.

Ten years ago, the Amboy Bank Board of Directors adopted June 10 as “Peggy Ann Dembowski Day” in honor of her 50th anniversary with Amboy.
