Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2019-20 academic year: Jayne McDevitt, class of 2022, from Howell, and Zeppy Princiotta, class of 2023, from Jackson.

Kelly Jamison of Jackson graduated with a Master of Science in kinesiology from the University of North Georgia, Dahlonega, Ga.

The University of Scranton, Pa., has awarded degrees to the following Howell residents: Matthew P. Crouch earned a Master of Science with a major in educational administration and Todd J. Nilsen earned a Master of Business Administration with a major in general business administration.

The following area residents have earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Scranton, Pa., The students completed their course work in August and December 2019, and January and May 2020: Dylan Valente of Howell, Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry; Gina M. Papa of Howell, Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy; and Juliette G. Porcelli of Jackson, Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pa., recognized graduates as part of the University’s 199th Commencement celebration held virtually on May 20, 2020: Victoria Pobok of Jackson graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Humanities. Jay Cadiz of Howell graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Jenna Kwiecinski of Jackson graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Humanities. Kayla Ojeda of Howell graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Tyler Gdovin of Howell graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Spencer Swain of Jackson, a junior majoring in engineering and management at Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y., was named a Presidential Scholar for the spring 2020 semester. Presidential Scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 GPA and carry at least 14 credit hours.

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania has named the following Jackson residents to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester: Megan Compell, Samantha Emmons, Sydney Hicks, Sierra O’Neill and Allison Young.
