Kingsland Circle home destroyed in two-alarm fire; 63 firefighters respond to the scene

Police received a 911 call of smoke coming from a Kingsland Circle home around 3:30 p.m. June 15.

Officers arrived to find heavy smoke from the side and roof of the home where a contractor had been working. The homeowner was already out of the residence and officers evacuated the surrounding homes, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department.

All three township fire companies, Kingston, Monmouth Junction and Kendall Park; along with Plainsboro, Little Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill, North Brunswick, Cranbury, Jamesburg, Franklin Park, Montgomery and Griggstown, responded to the fire call or as a backup.

In all, 63 firefighters battled the fire.

The fire was contained to one residence.

Several EMS units responded but there were no injuries.

The South Brunswick fire marshall deemed this fire was not suspicious, according to the statement.
