A North Brunswick man was charged in the death of a 70-year-old New Brunswick man who was struck in New Brunswick on June 19.
Juan Gonzalez, 43, was charged with driving without a license and causing the death of another person in the third degree, according to information provided by Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Anthony Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department.
The deceased pedestrian was identified as Teddy Davis, 70, of New Brunswick. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where he was pronounced dead from the injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the statement.
During the investigation, it was determined that at approximately 9:04 p.m., Gonzalez was driving a 2009 Dodge Avenger on Route 27 near Van Dyke Avenue when he reportedly struck the pedestrian, according to reports.
