Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y., announced that the following area residents graduated in May 2020: Connor Duffy of Freehold, BS in Television-Radio; Jordan Goldstein of Colts Neck, BS in Cinema and Photography; Nicholas Haaf of Colts Neck, BFA in Film, Photo amd Visual Arts; Mia Reingold of Marlboro, BS in Psychology; and Christina Ruivivar of Manalapan, BFA in Acting.

Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y., named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the spring 2020 semester: Kayla Bauzyk of Manalapan, Alexa Chalnick of Freehold, Joshua Koenig of Manalapan, Michael Post of Colts Neck and Cali Trainor of Marlboro.

Ruchi Raval of Colts Neck graduated from Union College, Schenectady, N.Y., during the college’s 2020 online conferral of degrees. Ruchi majored in biology and political science and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude.

The following area residents were recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines: Kiana Stockwell of Manalapan, at The College of New Jersey, Ewing, and Mackenzie Parke of Freehold, at The College of New Jersey, Ewing.

Colby College, Waterville, Maine, announced that two area residents were among the 480 seniors who received a bachelor of arts degree on May 24, 2020. John O’Brien of Freehold  majored in government and attended Freehold Township High School. He is the son of John and Laurel O’Brien. Ian Baum of Morganville majored in economics and government and attended Marlboro High School. He is the son of Mitchel and Rochelle Baum.

Meray Faragalla of Marlboro, a student at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., was inducted into the 2020 Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. Phi Beta Kappa is a fellowship of scholars devoted to liberal education and intellectual pursuits.

Emerson College, Boston, Mass., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester: Michael DePalma of Morganville, Samantha Golub of Marlboro and Nicole Swisher of Freehold.

Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, has named Samantha Haley Blitzer of Manalapan and Melissa Halle Feinstein of Morganville to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester.

Olivia Tu of Freehold was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society at Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., on May 4, 2020. Olivia is majoring in global studies and geography at Hofstra.

Clinton Wilson of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at Curry College, Milton, Mass. Clinton is majoring in accounting.

Isabella Schaffer of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester at Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio.

Jolie Rosenthal of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, N.H., for earning highest honors during the spring 2020 semester. Jolie is majoring in occupational therapy.

Julia Feldman of Freehold has been named to the Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, spring 2019-20 president’s list. Students who are ranked in the top 3% of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2019-20 have been named to the president’s list recognizing academic excellence. Julia is majoring in Spanish, Latin American Studies.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for academic excellence during the 2020 spring semester: Alan Roush of Colts Neck, Frank D’Alessio of Morganville and Jake Needleman of Morganville.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2020 spring semester: Lara Atry of Morganville, Danielle Burg of Morganville, Michael Cenname of Freehold, Asher Clissold of Manalapan, Joshua Cooperman of Marlboro, Brendan Duffy of Freehold, Meray Faragalla of Marlboro, Daniel Gaines of Colts Neck, Eleanor Hagge of Freehold, Eden Keinan of Marlboro, Julia LaCap of Freehold, Nicole Miller of Manalapan, Julianna Mindlin of Morganville, Lindsay Press of Colts Neck, Evan Schultz of Colts Neck, Mackenzie Schultz of Colts Neck and Tyler Mercado of Morganville.

Springfield College, Springfield, Mass., has named Nina McMerty of Freehold to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the 2020 spring semester. Nina is studying health science/occupational therapy.

Samantha Mikos of Freehold, a student at Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa., has been named a 2019-20 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete. Samantha plays basketball at Kutztown. To be eligible for PSAC Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must have finished the 2019-20 academic year with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.
