Two Trenton residents face drug charges in Jackson

JACKSON – Two residents of Trenton were arrested in Jackson after being caught with what police said were two bricks of heroin.

On June 30 at 5:30 p.m., detectives assigned to the Jackson Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit concluded an investigation regarding the sale of narcotics in the township, according to police.

At that time, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Grand Boulevard and arrested the female driver and a male passenger.

The officers recovered two bricks (approximately 100 bags) of substances believed to be heroin and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia and more than $800 cash, according to police.

A 24-year-old male resident of Trenton was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. He was initially placed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River.

A 23-year-old female resident of Trenton was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance while operating a motor vehicle. She was processed and released.
