Deven McCarthy of Matawan is preparing to open Cryology Beauty at 5 W. Front St., Keyport. Cryology will offer non-invasive contouring and toning services that reduce body fat by alternating warm and cold treatments directly to the problem areas.
McCarthy is a millennial entrepreneur with expertise in lifestyle companies and public relations. She is a publicist with Illumination PR, helping businesses and brands focus on visibility and voice.
McCarthy accompanies celebrity clients on bicoastal press tours and has managed client engagements at events such as the Grammy awards, ESPY awards and Emmy awards. She is a graduate of Monmouth University, West Long Branch.
OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River has awarded $150,000 in grants to 66 nonprofits throughout central and southern New Jersey through its Arts and Cultural Grant Program. Grants awarded support a range of activities including live theater and music, museums, galleries, festivals, and other special events happening throughout the year.
The following Monmouth County organizations have received a grant: Allaire Village; Art Society of Monmouth; Belmar Arts; Garden State Film Festival; Guild of Creative Art; Middletown Arts Center; Monmouth County Historical; Phoenix Productions; Red Bank RiverCenter; and T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center.
“The past few months have been an incredibly challenging time for our nonprofit partners and so we are happy to continue our support of the arts and cultural community. We know these organization will help to bring people and neighborhoods back together,” said Katherine Durante, executive director of OceanFirst Foundation.
The foundation was created by OceanFirst Bank in 1996. The foundation provides grants to organizations that meet community needs in the OceanFirst footprint.
Howard Stein of Farmingdale has launched a Home Helpers franchise, an in-home care company serving Monmouth County. Home Helpers specializes in comprehensive home care for senior citizens, new mothers and individuals who need recuperative and continuing assistance.
