The New Jersey Utilities Association, the statewide trade association for investor-owned utilities, has named Christina Farrell as Director of Government and Public Affairs. Farrell lives in Freehold Township with her husband, Ryan.

Previously, Farrell served as an associate director at Monmouth University, where she built strategic external relationships for the institution.

Prior to that, she served as the Legislative and PAC Manager for the New Jersey Realtors for nearly seven years. In that role, she provided lobbying support for federal, state and local issues and managed the organization’s political action committee.

Farrell serves on the Board of Trustees for CASA of New Jersey, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as co-chair of the Resource Development Committee. She is also a governing member of the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey.

 

Howard Stein of Farmingdale has launched a Home Helpers franchise, an in-home care company serving Monmouth County. Home Helpers specializes in comprehensive home care for senior citizens, new mothers and individuals who need recuperative and continuing assistance.

The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Freehold Township, recently sponsored a hometown hero breakfast for the staff of CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. The host for the event was the Bagel Nook in the Raintree Town Center, Freehold Township. Regional Director of Business Relations Pam Montemurno and Director of Physician and Hospital Relations Sara Kohn were at the Bagel Nook to greet both shifts with breakfast and gifts. The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a member of the Marquis Health Services.
