Columbia Avenue in Hopewell Borough will receive mill and pave work for a portion of the road during the summer of 2021.

The section is from Princeton Avenue to Elm Street. Borough Council members adopted a bond ordinance appropriating $330,000 on July 2 to fund the road project, which is being financially aided by a $238,465 New Jersey Department of Transportation local aid grant.

“Now that the ordinance is adopted, and once the estoppel period [time for someone to prevent action] has passed, we will commence design work. General timeline is the project will be designed in the fall and winter, bid late winter and early spring (2021) and constructed during the summer of 2021,” Borough Administrator Michele Hovan said.
