The following statement was released by Cranbury Township on July 17 regarding the cancellation of this year’s summer camp program:

New rules and regulations due to the COVID-19 pandemic have forced us to work harder than ever, with an even greater emphasis on safety and an abundance of caution. The Recreation Department was prepared to open our popular summer camp this year. However, we believe many of the families in Cranbury have chosen not to send their children to camp, which is entirely understandable given the current pandemic. Thus, registration was very low for each week of camp.

For these reasons, it is with great regret that we have to cancel our day camp for the summer.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

If you signed up for camp, you will receive a full refund of your registration fees. Look for a purchase order in the mail that you will need to sign and return so your refund can be processed.

Once again, thank you for supporting our Summer Day Camp. We hope your family has a safe rest of the summer.
