East Brunswick voters choose candidates for general election

EAST BRUNSWICK–Democratic Mayor Brad Cohen will face Republican candidate Jesal Amin for a four-year term mayoral term in East Brunswick.

Election Day is Nov. 3.

Cohen won 5,471 of the votes and Amin won 1,763 of the votes during their respective primary elections on July 7, according to the Middlesex County Primary Election results website. Results were certified after July 25.

In related news, Councilmen Sterley Stanley and Michael Spadafino won the majority of the Primary Election votes for the Democrats. Republican candidates Olga Miller and Suzanne Blum will face them in November.

All four candidates seek the two open Township Council seats with a four-year term.

Stanley won 5,205 of the votes and Spadafino won 5,283 of the votes, with both winning a total of 10,512, according to the Middlesex County Primary Election result website.

Miller won 1,763 of the votes, and Blum won 1,786 of the votes, with both winning a total of 3,580, according to the county website.
