Hillsborough Township will hold Restaurant Week 2020 from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4.

Participating Hillsborough restaurants will have an opportunity to showcase their creative cuisine for local residents and foodies from all over.

A survey was sent to the food establishments earlier this year assessing their interest level in participating in Restaurant Week 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to information provided by the township. The survey results showed there was a definite interest by restaurant owners to once again participate in the event.

Given the current constraints, however, the format will be a hybrid of outdoor dining and
take-out for 2020 Restaurant Week.

“Despite these unprecedented times, it is important that we are flexible and creative. We are looking forward to the 3rd Annual Hillsborough Restaurant Week,” Mayor Doug Tomson said in the statement.

Hillsborough Restaurant Week will feature local outdoor dining and take-out restaurants as well as some popular restaurant chains. Restaurateurs will offer specials including prix fixe menu dishes, daily combo specials and daily or weekly special menu items that represent unique recipes.

“Hillsborough Restaurant Week is an extraordinary way for local food establishments to show off their unique dishes while promoting their businesses and for patrons to support local businesses within our community,” Tomson said in the statement.

For an up-to-date list of participating restaurants, visit the Restaurant Week
site at www.hillsboroughbusiness.org. Prix fixe and special menus will also be available on the site.
