Modifieds headline Wall Stadium schedule on Sept. 5

WALL TOWNSHIP – Modified stock cars will take center stage at Wall Stadium Speedway on Sept. 5 as they compete in a 40-lap main event.

Along with the Modified main event. the Sportsman cars, 4-Cylinder Stocks, Legend Cars and the open cockpit Three-Quarter Midgets will fill out the card in 25-lap main events, according to a press release.

Grandstand seating will open at 4:30 p.m. and qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. The evening’s main event action will follow at 7 p.m.

Active military and veterans, with proper identification, will be offered a discount admission of $10 for this Labor Day weekend event in appreciation for their service to the country, according to the press release.

On the one-third-mile, high-banked paved oval, “Country Pride Night” competition will see Garden State Classic winner Blake Barney of Jackson, Steven Reed of Jackson, Andrew Krause of Holmdel, Kenny Van Wickle of Manasquan, Derek Hopkinson of Toms River and Jackson’s Jason Treat, just to name a few, competing in a 40-lap Modified feature race.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturday evenings through Oct. 10. The three-day season ending Turkey Derby is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
