A small but select field has lined up for the Garden State Trot for 3-year-old fillies at Freehold Raceway on Sept. 11.

Four fillies will contest the $40,000 race. Because of field size, the race will be run as a non-betting affair at 12:15 p.m., according to a press release from the harness track.

Two fillies stand out over the rest: Common Sense S and Ab’sattitudeexpress.

Common Sense is coming off an impressive win in the second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes- Standardbred Development Fund on Sept. 4.

Common Sense has enjoyed success over the Freehold track and will seek to continue her winning ways from post position 2. Ake Svanstedt is listed as the trainer and driver.

Ab’sattitudeexpress won the first leg of the series handily, drawing off to a six-and-three-quarter-length win in 1:56.2.

After a week off, Ab’sattitudeexpress will get back in action at Freehold from the outside post position. She is trained by Lucas Wallin, with George Brennan keeping the drive.

Alyvia Deo and Never Late Kait round out the field for the Garden State Trot.

The 11-race pari-mutuel card is headlined by two divisions of the NJSS-SDF for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters.

The first division is race 3, and drew a field of five. AP Hall of Trix, who went off as the favorite last week in the first leg before going off stride, and Fly Eagle Fly, who was second after setting the pace in that race, are the main contenders.

The second division will go as the fifth race, and features a field of six. Kasha V won the first leg last week at 10-1, and will seek a repeat from the inside post position. Southwind Hillraze, who was third after an early break, figures to be his toughest rival.

Post time for the first race on Sept. 11 will be at 12:30 p.m., according to the press release.
