Business Administrator Dawn McDonald said adding the stop signs was recommended by the Spotswood Police Department.

The council adopted the ordinance on Sept. 9 during the council meeting via video conference. The ordinance will take effect upon final passage and publication according to law.

Chief of Police Michael Zarro could not be reached by press time.
