Girl Scout cadette’s Silver Award garden project is a lesson in giving By Submitted Content - September 18, 2020 Hillsborough Girl Scout Cadette Madison Borer chose to use planting a vegetable and perennial herb garden to help teach local preschoolers at Seedlings Daycare about gardening and giving. As part of her Silver Award, Madison chose to donate the garden’s fresh produce to the Hillsborough Community Assistance Network. The Silver Award level project is designed to teach the scout how to research, plan and execute a local issue they care about. Madison presented her project idea to Central Jersey Nurseries, Lowe's and Construction Pros, who donated soil, blueberry plants, a fence and wood. FacebookTwitterEmailPrint
