Man accused of damaging police monument outside headquarters in North Brunswick

NORTH BRUNSWICK – Damage to the memorial located outside of police headquarters in North Brunswick is expected to cost thousands of dollars.
Someone discovered that damage had been done to the monument that is located to the left of the front entrance of the North Brunswick Police Department on Hermann Road. It was apparent that the damage was purposeful, as all electrical lighting had been stomped and damaged, according to information provided by the department.
The damage is believed to be a few thousand dollars.
The subsequent investigation led to charges against a 21-year-old man from New Brunswick. He was awaiting court proceedings, as of press time.
The damage will be repaired by members of North Brunswick PBA Local 160, who are the caretakers of the memorial.
