The Friends of Herrontown Woods aims to help people become stewards of their local environment. The group’s botanical garden, which volunteers created three years ago next to the parking lot off Snowden Lane, boasts meditation and pollinator gardens, a handcrafted boardwalk, frog pond, creative wood mobiles, and bimonthly flower signs, along with 130 species of native plants.

Workdays are from 10 a.m. to noon on Sundays, meeting next to the parking lot off Snowden Lane, with activities to involve the whole family and all ages.
