Special Olympics Torch Run comes through Monroe Friday at 8:30 a.m.

The Monroe Township Police Department will be participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Oct. 9.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers will be receiving the torch and carrying it through the township. The roadways that will be impacted will be Cranbury Half Acre Road, Prospect Plains Road, Perrineville Road and Helmetta Road.

Expect some delays in the area. If possible, plan an alternate route.
