Election results for Milltown Borough Council, Board of Education

There were elections for seats on the municipal governing body and Board of Education in Milltown on Nov. 3.

The results listed here reflect what has been posted online by the Middlesex County Clerk’s Office at this time. The results are not final and it is not known when the results will be final.

The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified.

Milltown Borough Council: Two, three-year terms are available on the council. The race is contested. The candidates are Democrats James Pareti and Margaret O’Donnell; and Republicans Ronald Dixon, an incumbent, and John Collins, a former councilman.

As of Nov. 4, Pareti, with 1,228 votes, and O’Donnell with 1,148 votes, are leading in the race. Dixon has 848 votes and Collins has 825 votes.

Milltown Board of Education: Three, three-year terms are available on the BOE. The race is contested. The candidates include incumbents JoAnne Demetrio, James Lloyd and Mary O’Mara; and newcomer Egnita Pardo.

As of Nov. 4, Demetrio, with 1,367 votes, O’Mara with 1,216 votes and Lloyd with 1,137 votes are leading in the race. Pardo is running as a write-in candidate. There are 39 write-in votes.
