Election Update: Hopewell Valley Regional school board race still close

Elections were held for three seats representing Hopewell Township on the Board of Education in Hopewell Valley on Nov. 3.

The results listed reflect what has been posted online by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office as of 1:55 p.m. Nov. 7. Mail-in ballots can be received through Nov. 10, and provisional ballots will be tabulated post-Nov. 11. Certification is expected as of Nov. 20.

The results are not final and it is not know when the results will be final.

The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified.

Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education, three three-year terms available:

Andrea Driver has 4,897 votes.

Incumbent Adam Sawicki, currently serving as vice president on the board, has 4,556 votes.

Anita Williams Galiano has 4,441 votes.

Jacqueline Genovesi has 4,052 votes.

Ross Gordon has 3,409 votes.

There are 136 write-in votes.
