Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Route 130 died at the hospital

NORTH BRUNSWICK – A pedestrian was struck and killed near the ShopRite plaza off Renaissance Boulevard in North Brunswick.
At approximately 9:30 p.m. Nov. 10, a pedestrian was struck by a single car in the left lane of Route 130 south, according to information provided by the North Brunswick Police Department.
The man was taken by North Brunswick EMS to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and passed away a short time later, according to reports.
No other information could be released as of Nov. 11, since the male had not yet been identified.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and has cooperated with the investigation, according to police. He was not injured.
The incident is under investigation by the North Brunswick Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau. Anyone with information should call Traffic Investigator Jason Zier at 732-247-0922, ext. 316.
