Monroe library will resume curbside pickup on Nov. 19

The Monroe Township Public Library will resume curbside pickup service beginning on Nov. 19, after closing for two weeks in response to an employee testing positive for COVID-19.
Curbside pickup will be at the drive-thru window. Hours for curbside service will expand to Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The library is suspending Grab & Go service; however, phones will be staffed and librarians will be available to answer reference questions and place books on hold. Online resources are available 24/7 on the library’s website.
Outside of the library’s business hours, email webmaster@monroetwplibrary.org with contact information (name, phone number, and library card number if available) and someone from the library will get back to you as soon as possible.
The Monroe Township Public Library will continue to offer virtual programs for adults, children and teens via Zoom. A full schedule, along with a Zoom tutorial, program registration, meeting ID and password information, can be found at www.monroetwplibrary.org/virtual-programs. Select programs require registration.
The book drops at the library’s drive-thru window and in the parking lot of the Senior Center will reopen on Nov. 18. Return library materials to either location at any time.
Printed materials, such as books and magazines, will be quarantined for four days prior to check-in. DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks and video games will be quarantined for seven days prior to check-in. Allow up to a week for materials to be removed from your record. No overdue fines will accrue  at this time.
The book drop at the Community Recreation Center remains closed. The Monroe Township Library is unable to accept material donations of books, DVDs or music CDs until further notice.
Delivery service between LMxAC libraries has resumed. Patrons of the Monroe library may request materials from other libraries that Monroe does not own. This service may take longer than it had in the past because of new quarantine procedures.
The Bookmobile will continue to make contactless deliveries to communities throughout the township. Service will resume on Nov. 23. For a schedule, visit www.monroetwplibrary.org/bookmobile. Email requests in advance to bookmobile@monroetwplibrary.org. Include name, library card number, phone number, location of Bookmobile stop and book title/author.
The library moved its digital e-books and audiobooks from RBdigital to the Libby app as part of OverDrive’s acquisition of RBdigital. Read more about the transition at www.monroetwplibrary.org/rbdigital.
Since the library is closed to the public, patrons will not have access to computers, fax machine or photocopiers.
The Monroe Township Public Library will be closed on Nov. 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving. The library will close at 5 p.m. on Nov. 25.
