Entries from the Plumsted Council for the Arts’ annual gingerbread decorating contest on December 3.

The Department of Recreation, East Brunswick Arts Commission and East Brunswick Education Association will hold a Gingerbread House Decorating Contest.

The Education Association is donating 100 gingerbread house Kits to the first 100 participants, first come, first served, one per household.

The kits will be available for pickup beginning Nov. 30, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays thereafter, as supplies last. Visit the recreation office, located at 334 Dunhams Corner Road.

Participants are welcome to use their own kit for the contest, too.

Once a participant completes his/her gingerbread house, take a picture and email to the Recreation Department with “gingerbread house” as the subject, by Dec. 13.

All submissions will be posted on the township website and social media accounts for the public to vote on from Dec. 14-22.

The house with the most votes will be declared the winner and receive a gift basket from the arts commission. Decisions are final.

For more information and to email photos of a gingerbread house, email recreation@eastbrunswick.org.
