Incumbents presumably ousted in South Brunswick Board of Ed race; results could be certified today

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A trio of newcomers presumably have been elected to the South Brunswick Board of Education.

Raja Krishna, Mike Mitchell and Smitha Raj presumably defeated incumbents Arthur Robinson, Deven Patel and Patrick Del Piano for three, three-year seats.

The vote tallies were last updated by Middlesex County as of 8:46 p.m. Nov. 19, which was current as of press time.

Krishna received 8,988 votes.

Mitchell received 8,899 votes.

Raj received 7,185 votes.

Robinson received 6,755 votes.

Patel received 6,749 votes.

Del Piano received 6,515 votes.

There were 184 write-in votes.

Votes are not official until certified by the county, which is expected possibly today.
